On April 23, 2023, Bed Bath and Beyond announced that they were filing for chapter 11 bankruptcy, and that they would begin winding down their operations.

Overview

Bed Bath and Beyond is a home-ware big box store. It was started back in the year 1971 by Warren Eisenberg and Leonard Feinstein, and the store expanded to several hundreds of store locations. Previously, Bed Bath and Beyond began closing stores in late 2022 and early 2023, and lists can be found on their GCS page under featured information (at least, as of Apr 23, 2023).

Bankruptcy

Bed Bath and Beyond's home website as of Apr 23 has a banner that reads:

Thank you to all of our loyal customers. We have made the difficult decision to begin winding down our operations. Bed Bath & Beyond and buybuy BABY stores remain open to serve you.

also giving links to the customer service page and information about the Chapter 11 process.

The Chapter 11 FAQ page confirms that store closing sales will begin in all remaining stores on Wednesday, April 26th. This will be just two days after many previously announced stores are expected to close for the final time, including both of the Wyoming stores.
